Canada Day! And yes..finally I saw one of them!!

I saw them!!! Are u wondering who did I see?.. THE MOUNTIES.. a.k.a. the Royal Canadian Mounted Police!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Canadian_Mounted_Police
Saw one of them with the dress uniform was just at the top of my list!! They’re so damn cool! With the hat and the red uniform.. Since the Tv Show “Due South” that was one of my favourite back in time in Italy, I started to love them! And see actually around with this uniform it’s really hard! They don’t dress that just everyday.. but they’re really one of the most recognized Canadian symbols worldwide like the Maple Syrup, the Maple leaf and... smth else LOL!!
So now that I see a real dressed Mountie, what I miss? Well, a raccoon, a moose and a bear! These 3 things I’ve absolutely to see them before my return home.. no way that I’m going to miss this!!
So today was the Canada Day! Pretty cool day though... I just went down to the Canada Place to see what the Vancouver city organized.. well..was pretty crowdy.. for a while I had a feeling: was like the China day! Oh my God..so so many Chinese guys.. LOL! But was nice.. a lot of things, the Canadian army.. they even invited me to join the Forces!!!! I was just wandering around their stand when a couple of soldiers started to speak.. :-) I stayed there for a while talking with a Sergeant combat engineer about his missions in Bosnia and Afghanistan..it was kind of interesting... of course he thought that I was Scottish! I lost the count of how many times a day I hear that!!!
I got my Canadian small Maple Flags.. and that’s all!!
Yesterday night Adam brought me outside.. it was really cool.. my social life is improving!! We have to do that again man...
Let’s go back at work tomorrow...
I love this city! And I love this country too!!

Gli ho visti! Yes…finalmente ce l’ho fatta! Vi starete chiedendo chi.. ma ovviamente i Mounties e cioè la Reale Polizia Canadese a Cavallo! http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polizia_a_cavallo_canadese

Vederne uno con l’alta uniforme era al primo posto della mia lista! Sono così cool!! Con quel cappello e l’uniforme rossa…sin dai tempi di “Due South (Due dritti a Chicago)”, uno dei miei telefilm preferiti qualche anno fa, ho iniziato subito a fomentarmi per i Mounties e vederli in giro con l’uniforme rossa non è cosi semplice..anzi! Non la indossano praticamente mai ma sono davvero uno dei simboli più riconosciuti del Canada, insieme allo sciroppo d’acero, alla foglia d’acero e..qualcos’altro credo!! LOL!

Così ora che ho visto un vero Mountie, cosa mi manca? Mmm, un procione, un alce e un orso..non posso andarmene se averli visti tutti!

Così oggi era il Canada Day! Pretty cool day… Me ne sono andato al Canada Place per vedere cosa la città di Vancouver aveva organizzato e c’era davvero un casino di gente.. per un attimo ho avuto la sensazione di aver sbagliato posto..mi sembrava il Cina Day..mamma mia quanti ce ne sono!!! Ma non è stato male..diverse cose, l’Esercito Canadese.. m’hanno perfino invitato ad arruolarmi!! Ero intorno al loro stand quando un soldato ha iniziato a parlarmi e mi sono trattenuto per un po’ a sentirmi un sergente ingegnere combattente che era stato in Bosnia e in Afghanistan..interessante.. ed ovviamente pensava che fossi scozzese! Ho perso il conto di quante volte ormai me lo sento dire ogni giorno!!

Ho avuto le mie bandierine canadesi…ed è tutto!

Ieri sera me ne sono uscito con Adam.. it was really cool.. la mia vita sociale sta migliorando!

Domani si ritorna al lavoro!

Amo questa città ed amo questo paese!!
