Alex - Laziness 1-0! Kitsilano & Kitsilano Beach!

E si, ho battuto la mia laziness oggi, cosa non facile da fare per me!!

E cosi ho fatto quello che mi ero ripromesso stamattina. Sono andato a vedermi Kitsilano & Kitsilano Beach.

La zona non è affatto male, molto diversa da downtown. Stradoni all’americana, si esatto proprio quelli dei film, con case ai lati con il loro giardinetto, stesso panorama che avevo visto dall’aeroporto all’ostello ormai più di un mese fa.

Che dire della spiaggia. Premetto che non andavo al mare, o meglio all’oceano :-D dal lontano 2007 a Las Palmas e lì si trattava dell’Oceano Atlantico, questa volta invece dell’Oceano Pacifico… Cool! Ho visto due oceani nella mia vita, quanti me ne mancano? Chiederò a Wikipedia :-D!!

Ecco dicevo della spiaggia… bè mi sembrava un po’ di essere sul set di Baywatch.. mancavano solo Pamela Anderson e David Hasselhoff che correvano sulla sabbia.. AHAHAHA!! Comunque si, sembrava molto la California… con il molo che entra in acqua, proprio come nei film. Nulla a che vedere con Las Canteras comunque!

Ero proprio abituato bene! Nessuno in acqua perché l’acqua è piuttosto fredda, nessuno nemmeno a prendere il sole, non è ancora il periodo giusto nonostante siamo già a metà maggio!! Però diversa gente che usciva il cane (e si, non sapete che si dice Uscire il Cane!!!), un po’ di joggers…

Comunque, molto bella lo location.. spiaggia, oceano e sullo sfondo una foresta, i grattacieli e le montagne.. Cacchio, amo Vancouver!! La spiaggia un po troppo piena di alghe e conchiglie ma alla fine va bene cosi!

Devo dire che la Seaside Walking, che gira intorno alla spiaggia.. è anche un’ambientazione piuttosto suggestiva, romantica direi, coi riflessi del sole sull’acqua.. ok..basta romanticismo.. Is enough! Comunque è un posto carino per portarci una ragazza, I guess :-D !

C’è persino una piscina vicino alla spiaggia, ancora chiusa, aprirà dopo domani.. se perdo ancora qualche kiletto posso permettermi di mostrarmi in costume AHAHAH!!!

Devo dire che in certi versi, Vancouver mi ricorda Helsinki.. sono piuttosto simili.. vero Finnish Motherfuckers, Sami & Mikko??

Qualche altra notizia.. MMM… mi fomenta sempre di più quello che fa Adam.. lui si che non è invischiato nella corsa del topo!

Faccio lo smart, citando Sir Edward John Eyre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_John_Eyre) , uno dei più famosi pionieri dell’outback australiano : If there is any road not previously travelled, then that is the one I must take.. Is what I am doing man..is what I am doing!!

And yes, I defeated my laziness today!!Not so easy..but I won!

And indeed I did what I promised myself this morning, I went to Kitsilano & Kitsilano Beach…

The district is pretty cool, pretty different from downtown. American streets, yea that’s right, like in the movies, with houses with their gardens, same landscape that I saw on the route to my hostel from the airport, more than 1 month ago, man!!

What I can say about the beach. I’ve to say that my last time to the sea, or better to the ocean, :-D was back in 2007 in Las Palmas and that one was the Atlantic Ocean, this time instead was the Pacific…Cool! I saw 2 oceans in my life, How many I miss? I’ll ask to Wikipedia :-D!!

So I was telling about the beach.. well it seemed like to be on Baywatch set, without Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff running on the sand.. AHAHAHA!! However yes, it looked really like California..with the wharf getting into the sea, just like in the movies. Nothing comparable to my Las Canteras though! I was really used well!! No one bathing in the water since it’s pretty cold, no one getting tanned, it isn’t the right period yet even if we are in the middle of may! Someone walking the dog, someone jogging…

Anyway, really cool location.. beach,ocean and in the background a forest, the skyscrapers and the mountains.. Damn I love Vancouver! The sand with too many shells and seaweeds but in the end..doesn’t matter!

I’ve to say that the Seaside Walking that surrounds the beach it’s also a charming location, romantic I can say, with sun glares on the waves..ok stop romanticism.. is enough.. AHAHA! By the way is a nice place to bring a girl,walking together.. I guess :-D!

There’s even a pool along the beach, it’s still closed but it’ll open the day after tomorrow.. if I lose some other kilo, I think that I can show myself with the bath suit AHAHAH!!!

Under some aspect Vancouver reminds me Helsinki, isn’t true damn Finnish motherfuckers, Sami & Mikko?

Some other news: I’m really getting interested in Adam’s work.. he’s definitely not in the rat race!!
