I made it!!

English is below Italian

2 ore fine a Londra Gatwick.
Keep in touch!

In the end, I made it! I arrived in Canada. Precisely yesterday, at 7.40 PM local time I touched land at the Vancouver International Airport. After 2000 hours in the air I guess. I still can’t believe that for the first time in my 25 years life I am in North America!!
The travel has been exhausting. 2 hours till Gatwick, 1 hour and 20 minutes by bus to Heathrow, 7 hours and 10 minutes to Ottawa that passed quite fast thanks to a lovely Tanzanian born-Canadian girl that talked with me and 4 hours and 50 minutes t Vancouver. For a total of 14 hours on 3 different planes!! But Canada is really in the other part of the world and it is huge itself. No problems with my baggage, luckily, and neither with the immigration. Everyone really kind and quick. For me, used to travel all around Europe with low cost companies, the first impact with a flagship carrier has been strong. Airplanes aren’t buses, they belong to another category. Entertainment, lunch, snack, drink, but as a matter of facts, flights are really long. Cool flights, apart for the landing in Ottawa with some shaking for the frozen runway. Oh yes, 23° in Milan, -2° in Ottawa! Here in Vancouver is 14° luckily!
First impact with the city: no idea.. haven’t seen anything. But in Canada, seems that there are Asians everywhere! I just came out from the airport, took the free shuttle bus to the hotel for the night and at 9pm I fall asleep destroyed, until 7 am this morning.
Soon I’ll leave to the downtown hostel and from there to the first exploration. Keep in touch!
